Finally the powers that be have realised that the testing for children with Autism is skewed against them, so they are bringing in new testing. Kayne participated in the first wave of the new testing. We got the results back. Last year Kayne was assessed at having an IQ of 73 (which is considered 'borderline' low average and extremely low) giving him the label of an Intellectual Impairment, now with the new assessments he has an IQ of 120 now (which is considered high average!). What a difference a specific test makes! So basically this means that Kayne will now definitely lose his Intellectual Impairment label! I'm so excited, and so glad that people are finally starting to realise that Autism (and other related syndromes) don't necessarily mean an Intellectual Impairment/Disability!!

I always knew Kayne was really smart, and I just wished other people (medical professionals) could see it as well.. I can't wait for the II label to officially be taken of his file!!
